Indo-Bhutan Student Cultural Exchange Program

The 3rd Indo-Bhutan student cultural exchange was conducted on 25th and 26th of September 2010, at Nazhoen Perli to promote the friendship between the SSM College and The Rigsum Institute. The program, which included Bhutanese and Indian dances, was jointly organized by The Rigsum Institute of IT & Management and SSM Group of Institutions, South India. Students from both institutions participated in the lively concert. The program was graced by Hon’ble Lyonpo Namgay Penjor of the National Council. Lyonpo welcomed the guests, and praised the importance of such events: “The Bhutan India Friendship Association (BIFA) was founded in 1969 with the primary purpose of promoting friendship between the peoples of two countries and it has come thus far.” The event was attended by hundreds people from every walk of Life and it is recorded by Norling Cable.
