Scholarship Programmes from Sona College of Technology

In collaboration with Sona College of Technology, Rigsum Education Consultancy (REC) is pleased to announce PG Scholarship Programmes for the following courses:
Interested Bhutanese students who meet the eligibility criteria may apply for these scholarship program latest by 25th August 2017.

The candidate who wish to apply for these scholarship must have a minimum of 55% and above in his/her undergraduate course.
The tuition fee and other university fees are completely waived for these students. This is worth of 3.5 lakhs INR which is completely waived by the management.
However, student has to pay two lakhs INR towards the cost of hostel and mess fees, if the student wishes to stay with the college and vice versa. Moreover, these students will get an opportunity to work as "Research Assistant" in any one of the 32+ R&D centers that are available in the Sona campus. At the end of the two year course they will also be given job completion certificate as a "Research Assistant" in the R&D centre.
Once the students applies for this scholarship, the concerned head of the department along with an expert professor will take up an interview (Skype) with the student to ensure that he/she would be capable to work as a Research Assistant in the R&D Centre.
If the students feels that he or she will not be able to contribute towards the research towards the research then the students can contribute in teaching undergraduate students. Nevertheless, looking at the quantum of research available in the campus.
